Sensei Tom Mah is a 5^th degree Shito-Ryu and a 4^th degree Chito-Ryu black belt with 30 years of knowledge and experience. He has been teaching in Kelowna professionally for the past 20 years. He is a certified teacher (Shihan) who knows the importance of good technique to proper karate development. Sensei Mah's philosophy in teaching karate to others is not to turn them into the toughest or the best fighters but rather through the skills of karate teach them to appreciate the importance of physical fitness and the advantage of having the skills to defend oneself, to teach them how to move gracefully with power, and to become an individual that is polite and courteous.
